Get your Frozen ATPL

The Frozen ATPL course at Wings over Holland is a complete training course for aspiring airline pilots. This course combines several modules, starting with the Private Pilot License (PPL), followed by further specializations such as Instrument Rating (IR), Night Rating and Multi-Engine Training. With a Frozen ATPL, you can start working as a co-pilot with an airline and continue working on your flying experience.

To obtain a Frozen ATPL, you must complete ATPL theory in addition to practical training. You do this externally at an approved training provider such as Orbit Groundschool. You also go through an intensive Hour Building phase of 89 flight hours, during which you gain experience and build the hours needed to advance to a commercial license. The Advanced UPRT (Upset Prevention and Recovery Training) is also a mandatory component, teaching you how to handle unexpected situations in the air.

Upon completion of all modules, you will receive your Frozen ATPL, which is the stepping stone to a career as an airline pilot. This license allows you to fly as a co-pilot and once you have accumulated 1,500 flight hours, your ATPL becomes “unfrozen,” making you eligible to operate as a captain (captain). This track provides the perfect preparation for a future in aviation.
