With an Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI) extension in your pocket, you may teach students to obtain their Instrument Rating.
Here you can think of the Single Engine Instrument Rating and the Multi Engine Instrument Rating.

- At least 5 hours with instructor

Instrument Rating Instructor at Wings over Holland
The Instrument Rating Instructor course at flight school Wings over Holland combines practical flying with the required theory. All to help you get your IRI in the easiest way possible.
To obtain your Instrument Rating Instructor training, you must meet some predetermined requirements and course requirements.
Thus, you must have a Fligh Instructor with 200 hours of IR; it is also possible to begin the Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI) course without an FI, but we require a minimum of 800 hours of IR.
Should you start the Instrument Rating Instructor course without FI, this course will also look different. Thus, 5 more hours will have to be flown. For more information, please refer to the fact sheet.

IRI Theory
Theory IRI with FI
Theory for the Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI) course has two different routes. Do you already have an FI? Then you will need to take a minimum of 10 hours of theory at Wings over Holland.
Theory IRI without FI
Don’t have an FI, but do you have the required 800 hours of IR? Then the you will have to take more theory. Instead of 10 hours of theory, you will then have to complete 35 hours of theory to obtain your Instrument Rating Instructor training.
Medical Examination
No pilot can fly and obtain his IRI without being medically examined since good health is an important requirement in aviation.
At Wings over Holland, we recommend that you get your Class II Medical Examination at Aeglia. This medical center is at Lelystad Airport so is nearby for anyone who wants to get their pilot’s license with us.
